"A house does not have to be perfect to be a home of joy, a child does not have to behave perfectly to love and be loved, and every moment of life does not have to be perfect to be of value. Too often, I realize, we fail to see the glorious reality of the simple joy that abounds in the seemingly mundane routine of day-to-day living. Instead, we tend to idolize the past, idealize the future, and devalue the present.... What better way to show our appreciation to Heavenly Father for what we have than to embrace our lives, albeit 'ordinary' and 'unexciting,' with joy?"

Laundry

Want to know something weird about me? I enjoy doing laundry. It is like a hobby for me. I have four different detergents that I use, an arsenal of spot removers, I hang dry the majority of my kids' clothes (keeps them looking new!), and I really enjoy it. I pride myself on my spot removal abilities.

Believe it or not, I even enjoy washing cloth diapers. I know, I know, I'm weird... what do you expect? There is just something about warm diapers, fresh out of the dryer.

Maybe the root of it all is that I enjoy my children's clothing and I get to look at it while doing laundry? Same with the diapers... cloth diapers aren't what they used to be and I love shopping for them. I don't know.

So there, I've let another oddity about me out of the bag. I'm a laundry-freak and proud of it!

It is from Crazy 8 (Gymboree's new lower-end store... kinda like Old Navy).

Yeah, you are kinda strange... ;) Actually I wish I enjoyed doing laundry like you do. Don't be surprised if I start calling you everyday for tips on getting stains out! Seriously.
