"A house does not have to be perfect to be a home of joy, a child does not have to behave perfectly to love and be loved, and every moment of life does not have to be perfect to be of value. Too often, I realize, we fail to see the glorious reality of the simple joy that abounds in the seemingly mundane routine of day-to-day living. Instead, we tend to idolize the past, idealize the future, and devalue the present.... What better way to show our appreciation to Heavenly Father for what we have than to embrace our lives, albeit 'ordinary' and 'unexciting,' with joy?"

Finally... Cooper's First Day!

Cooper started Pre-K this past Monday! He was so excited to be back to school and I'm sure it is going to be a great year! He is exhausted today, after four days in a row of school and I'm glad for Fridays off. He definately needs the rest today!

First Day Collage

Back To School!

My baby girl started THIRD grade today! Chloe is growing up way too fast!

Showing off her feather hair extensions. These are all the rage for the elementary crowd. Six out of the eight girls on her soccer team have them. They are fun, not permanent and easy to take care of!

At school, waiting in line. It is always relieving to find a friend in line, especially on the first day!

Cooper was sad that it was Chloe's first day and not his. He doesn't start preschool for two more weeks, but he was easily cheered up with a quick stop at 7-11. Slurpee and donuts at 9am?! Suuuuuurrre.
