"A house does not have to be perfect to be a home of joy, a child does not have to behave perfectly to love and be loved, and every moment of life does not have to be perfect to be of value. Too often, I realize, we fail to see the glorious reality of the simple joy that abounds in the seemingly mundane routine of day-to-day living. Instead, we tend to idolize the past, idealize the future, and devalue the present.... What better way to show our appreciation to Heavenly Father for what we have than to embrace our lives, albeit 'ordinary' and 'unexciting,' with joy?"

Its a smock... Its a bib...

Its a SMIB! These fantastic finds at Ikea are not only an awesome price (a two-pack for 3.99) but they work amazingly! They aren't really called smibs, thats just what I call them... Ikea calls them BARNSLIG RAND. As you can see from the pictures I snapped of Cooper eating his lunch today, peanut butter and jelly is serious business and requires a serious bib. I'd also like to use these pictures as a testament to how much more relaxed I've become as a second time mom... There is no way I would have let Chloe tear apart a sandwich and so lovingly smear and devour the entire thing like that.

I have those bibs!!! I love them. I do wish they were a little thicker. Half of everything Olivia drinks ends up on the front of her.

Cooper is at the age where only his food, not his drink, ends up all over... however, I did notice on the Ikea website about the bibs, it says to iron the bibs to keep them waterproof. It probably melts the fabric a bit and seals it up! Might be worth a try!

Interesting. I'll have to try it. It was funny I actually was thinking about how bibs need sleeves. I was thinking that I should invent them and make millions..... then I saw them at IKEA. There goes my million dollar idea (I've onlly had one....)
