"A house does not have to be perfect to be a home of joy, a child does not have to behave perfectly to love and be loved, and every moment of life does not have to be perfect to be of value. Too often, I realize, we fail to see the glorious reality of the simple joy that abounds in the seemingly mundane routine of day-to-day living. Instead, we tend to idolize the past, idealize the future, and devalue the present.... What better way to show our appreciation to Heavenly Father for what we have than to embrace our lives, albeit 'ordinary' and 'unexciting,' with joy?"

Backyard Fun

We've been trying to enjoy our unseasonably hot weather by being outside as much as possible the past few weeks. Saturday we spent the afternoon and evening relaxing in our own backyard! Here are some snapshots!

Justin and I set up our tent to let it air out. The kids had lots of fun playing in it and I believe Chloe is already planning to sleep in it this weekend with Justin:

Cooper loves the playhouse!

We were using the wagon to haul stuff from the shed in the back out to the car, so the kids would follow Justin around the house and then hop in the empty wagon to hitch a ride back!

And this is the fun project Mom and Dad got to work on while the kids played. We're organizing our over-full shed and changing the boxes over to uniform rubbermaid containers for easy stacking and storage! It will be great when we're done- and as a bonus, we added a lot to our "garage sale" pile while sorting through stuff!

I love your tent. Sometime we should meet half way and go camping.
