"A house does not have to be perfect to be a home of joy, a child does not have to behave perfectly to love and be loved, and every moment of life does not have to be perfect to be of value. Too often, I realize, we fail to see the glorious reality of the simple joy that abounds in the seemingly mundane routine of day-to-day living. Instead, we tend to idolize the past, idealize the future, and devalue the present.... What better way to show our appreciation to Heavenly Father for what we have than to embrace our lives, albeit 'ordinary' and 'unexciting,' with joy?"

Five Guys, Fry's, and a Water Fountain

Last night, after Chloe's gymnastics class, Justin "needed" to go to Fry's Electronics in Renton. I think there might have been a bit of ulterior motive to go down there- Justin has been itchin' to try out the new Five Guys Burger place since he heard it opened in Renton last month! Conveniently, it was dinner time, we needed to eat and it was only a few blocks from Fry's. Since the kids were STARVING, we decided to eat first (after making a quick stop at Panda Express to get Chloe chicken and rice- heaven forbid she eat a hamburger!). The burgers and fries were really good and Cooper seemed to enjoy his grilled cheese sandwich!

While eating, we noticed a bunch of kids playing in some water fountains across the street. The kids were much more interested in taking an improtu swim than going to the electronics store, so I hung out with them there while Justin went and picked up the memory/ram/thing-a-ma-bob that he needed. It was a fun evening and the kids enjoyed getting to cool off from this crazy hot weather!

I'm glad you posted this. I didn't know they had one of those in Renton! They recently put one in Orem and I've been dying to try it. I've heard a lot of good things about it! It's first on our list next time we go out to eat! :)

Yeah, We should have called you guys. We may actually come back to Crossroads Park this Saturday since Jackson had so much fun last weekend. Anything to beat this heat! If we do I'll give you a call.
I told Kevin that you went to Five Guys and he told me to pack up the car and come pick him up from work so we could go. We tried that place when we were in Utah and now he loves it!
